Within this second year work I began with my initial starting point about culture, specifically interiors with a traditional aspect. This initial starting point began by me thinking imaginatively about my own culture and ethnicity, which is Lebanese. The Lebanese culture is classified under the Arab community; being passionate about my own background really has an effect on my designs and inspirations in my work. Being brought up in a traditional and cultural environment since a young age gave me the motivation to learn and love my culture. My ideas consist of showing how my Lebanese / Arab culture define their community through interior and exterior structures using different shapes, colours and patterns. Shapes, colours and patterns will be a huge aspect of my work and will give me the base of my ideas throughout my work as I will consistently use different materials and techniques to create models of my designs. When researching my artists and influencers I mainly explore what their own inspirations were while creating their art work. The artists I took inspiration from for this project were Zaha Hadid, Abdel Wahid El Wakil and Antoni Gaudi.
