Salima Benachi

I have included pages from both my projects as they are related. The theme of the first project was to create a contrasting extension to one of Birmingham's famous buildings and the second was to complement the extension. For the contrasting project, I created pyramids and round edges triangular patterns design to contrast with The Cube. I researched artists like Zaha Hadid who was very inspirational in this project and influenced my final piece. I then moved on to the next project where I was able to create an interior design for my extension. I made a repetitive pyramid pattern to create a ceiling design. I researched architectural firms such as Benoy and SOM, looking at their work was a huge inspiration and influence to develop my ideas.
