Mumtas Ali

For this 3D project I had to focus on a chosen theme. I chose to focus on architecture but specifically Islamic architecture. I looked at how contrasting colours, forms, and textures are used to create interesting architecture. This is to create a mosque which was original, obeyed all the community requirements as well as religious requirements and allowed me to produce my own unique ideas. I researched well known Muslim artists such as Hassan Fathy, Abdel Wahed el Wakil and Mimar Sinan for inspiration and ideas for my own work as I found their styles and detailing really interesting.
