My theme for my final project in year one is Complimenting Architecture. Within this module I have chosen Sculpture as my sub-theme. During the research period I came across an artist who massively peaked my interest; Guy Laramee. He combines naturalistic scenery into the medium of decaying books to create epic models that sell for thousands of dollars. His work is captivating and awe-inspiring. My main aim of this theme was to try and recreate something in his essence.

I have certainly achieved my main aim, perhaps to an extent where it does not reflect my own personal feelings in this topic area.
